Do you want to adopt the best dog ever? Well, look no further. Burt is a giant angel baby who needs a new home. We are broken hearted, but due to our other dog being aggressive we cannot keep Burt in a situation where he is not thriving. That being said, we are looking for the perfect person or family to take Burt home and love him forever.
What Burt needs: An active person who will take him on hikes, to dog parks, and on lots of walks every day. Burt has an excess of energy, and needs somebody to burn it off with him. Somebody who loves kisses, snuggles, and doesn’t mind really bad gas. A home with a yard and another big dog to play with, or a home with a yard and a person who has friends with big dogs who Burt can roam around with. Someplace he can sunbathe.
What Burt does not do well with: Small dog parks - the commotion is a lot and Burt is a giant - he is at his best at Thousand Acres, on a hike, or playing one on one with another dog that wants to play rough. Burt loves other dogs, but cannot be around dogs that will attack. He’s not an alpha, is very submissive, and doesn’t do well under pressure. Cats are probably not the best idea, and neither are young kids. He’s big, but thinks he’s tiny, so jumping and running into children is definitely bound to open. Burt also resource guards his bones - do not feed him bones around another pup.
Burt is high energy, so if you’re a couch potato he is not the dog for you. He is, however, the best dog in the world and deserves a life of fun, energetic activity, and love. If you have a farm or land, Burt would be great for you. Burt also has really bad allergies and is on an allergy medication that is costly, he cannot eat fish, and does best on a limited diet. He comes with his giant bed, that he is very attached to, leash, collar, bowls, food, and his medication. He currently goes to Lombard Animal Hospital, and is up to date on all his shots.
Please email me if you have any questions or are interested in Burt: firstname.lastname@example.org - Burt will undoubtedly come with a long list of needs from me, his over protective mom. Including, but not limited to, needing to be tucked in at night.
He is a 3.5 year old, 100 pound American Bulldog, Pit Bull mix, and he is absolutely the best. He’s named after Burt Macklin, from Parks and Rec.
