Today we took in 8 pit bull terriers rescued from the largest dogfighting bust in US history. After 5 days of traveling from Missouri to FDNLS these kids are very happy to be ‘home.’
This is lovely little Cynder.
Don’t let the grey face fool ya, Lila is still a powerhouse of love!
Cynder soaking up some loving from Justin.
Lila climbs up and makes herself comfortable in Justin’s lap….exactly where a pitty should be!

All 8 of these rescued dogs will be available for adoption after a six week foster period, in which they will live in foster homes, undergo further behavioral evaluations and get some much needed lovin! While they cannot be adopted during this six week period, applications for adoption will be accepted during this time.

Thank goodness for Family Dogs!!! I followed this horrible story, but I’m so glad these sweet pups were rescued. Dog fighting is dispicable. Thank you for being the safe place for these guys and the other dogs you save everday!!! these pitties are precious! good luck pups!
This made me cry for joy. When I see people who love dogs, and not just the popular breeds. It makes me feel like there is a hope for all dogs. THANK YOU for loving these dogs! My dog (a pit bull) was euthanize today (a day after arriving) because he was too nervous while at the humane society. It broke my heart becuase any one who knew him knew his big heart was only matched by his big smile. And now it is gone
