Name’s Blue, and to be honest, I am feeling a bit blue at the moment…I’ve had a loving home for the last 8 years, but I have that home no longer…See, my folks loved oh so much but they just had a baby and, well, to be honest, I’m not a big fan of children. I am super loving, smart as can be and well trained. I’m housebroken, crate trained and I know LOTS of commands. I’m also a top notch athlete and one heck of a fetcher. In fact, many people who meet me think I must be only 2 or 3 years old. I do love attention and I really love MY people, so much so that I can be protective over my territory, my family and myself….. so care must be taken when you take me out and about. I may not be a social butterfly, but I am a very loyal and loving companion to my family and friends. Also, if we’re being honest here, I’m not so big on sharing my home with cats, but I do LOVE other dogs and wouldn’t mind sharing my home with them one bit. OooooEeeee! Cute just doesn’t cut it! I’m Deborah, a 4 month old Pug mix puppy and I wanna go home with you! I am looking for a family that will be committed to raising and training me, you know, helping me become the bestest dog I can be!  I have a great start on my crate training but I am counting on you for all the rest. Oh raising a pup can be so much joy…but don’t forget it can be a lot of work too. No worries, I assure I will be well worth it!

OK, OK, so I’m not so good with first impressions…I’m on the shy side and this whole rescue business has been stressing me out…I can tell you this though-  It took me about 2 days here at FDNL and then poof,  then my happy switch turned on! I came out of my shell and really warmed up to the staff and all the other dogs. Now all I want is to be held, cuddled and loved! I’ve even been keeping my crate clean at night, I’m not too hyper, just a little playful and I’m on the quiet side too. Boy, I’ve turned out to be a really awesome dog! I just need someone who is willing to give me that little adjustment period that I’m looking for. Don’t forget, us rescue animals go through a lot!!!

I’m Babbas, you can call me Travis though. It just rolls off the tongue a little better eh? I’m a young at heart, easygoing happy dude! That’s strange, huh? Oh that’s right, You haven’t heard my story yet…well, lemme tell you a bit about myself. Why is it strange that I’m happy and friendly and happy to be here in the shelter? Well, it’s because I’ve spent the majority of my adult life with minimal care, living in a basement. That’s right, a freakin’ basement. Is that any place for a happy fellow like me? NO. NO. NO. A basement is the place you store your extra junk, it’s no place for an affectionate, loyal and loving companion. But, I don’t hold grudges, I’m just glad that I have the opportunity to live the rest of my life above ground. You know, being a part of the family. Cuddling on the couch, lounging in the back yard, going for car rides…wow that sounds grand! I don’t want to share my home with cats though, but children over 6 and other dogs are just great by me. And did I mention that I LOVE people? Because I do, believe it or not I still do! And I promise, if you take me home I will love you too.

I’m a spunky little gal named Leeya. What’s with the funny spelling of our names anyways? Sometimes I think us dogs can spell better than these silly humans who have been working in animal rescue a little too long… Anyway, I’m a super duper fun and sweet little gal with a lot of love to give! I do love people, but I don’t care much for children, honestly I consider them annoying, and I just don’t like ‘em in my face. Other dogs are cool with me, but they gotta know who’s queen bee! ME! But, no biggy, I still have lots of friends here. My one downfall is that nobody has shown me how to be housebroken. Cool thing is I am totally crate trained and other than the accidents my manners are pretty great… I can still learn though. That saying you can’t teach an ‘ol dog new tricks is total B.S.! And besides, I’m only 4, so who you callin’ old! I’ll show you old… you know what’s old? Sitting here homeless waiting for someone to take me home, now that’s getting’ old!
