We See Peach Fuzz!

There’s been a little betting going now…with Cherry’s hair grow back, or won’t it? Her skin is improving by the day and she is getting healthier and healthier….but we’ve known all along that even when the mange is clear and skin is healed she still may not get all of her hair back…So we are super duper (maybe a little tooooo) excited that we see a little peach fuzz! Cherry has some little bits of hair growing along the top of her back and on top of her cute lil noggin 🙂

So hurray for hair ! Let’s celebrate…even if it is just a little bit of fuzz. It’s a great start….and Cherry looks pretty excited about it too!

Please help us continue to provide Cherry with the care and treatment she needs by sharing Cherry’s story and/or Sponsoring Cherry and making a donation today….

Help us clothe Cherry in a coat of healthy, happy skin.

And remember to keep an eye on the Dog Blog for weekly updates on our sweet lil Cherry bomb.

Equiss shampoo or the concentrated spray!!! You can get it at Coastal. It’s an organic horse care project and works incredibly well on dogs too! Smells great and is AWESOME for all kinds of skin problems. And makes a stinky sick dog smell GREAT! Get some and I guarantee you will be a believer. The spray dilutes one part to ten parts water in a spray bottle. Shake it up and spray. Use it whenever my dogs have an itch.

Our sweet pit had inherited Demodectic mange and she got pretty bad. This site was recommended from a friend and though I had my hesitations, we ordered the treatment. Our dermatologist told us he had never seen a dog in her condition recover their coat so fully. She looks great and 4 years later, you would never suspect she had been so sick and furless at one time. I highly recommend this treatment for Cherry!

Thank you all for the great recommendations! Cherry is on an extensive treatment plan put together by our wonderful veterinarians at Southgate Animal Clinic and she is doing really well with it!
